Counseling Services

Well Rooted Counseling offers counseling services for adult individuals and couples.

Adult Individuals

Sessions will be 50-60 minutes in length and tailored to each client's unique needs. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Somatic Therapy with individuals to help increase awareness of thought patterns, regulate the nervous system, and foster emotional resilience.

Couples

I utilize Gottman Method (Level 2 trained), which emphasizes building stronger connections, managing conflict effectively, and creating shared meaning.

Health Insurance

I recommend that you contact your insurance company to confirm that I am in-network prior to your first appointment and for review of your behavioral health benefits.

Out of network clients will be provided a superbill that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement. It is the independent responsibility of the client to ensure reimbursement is accepted with your health plan.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

What to Expect

Introduction and Scheduling

We’ll connect to go over your current needs. I’ll explain a little about myself and my practice, and we’ll decide if we’re a good fit.

If we both agree to move forward, we’ll review availability and get you (and your partner, if applicable) an appointment to meet at my office for the initial visit.

Initial Visit

The first session is generally a 90-minute psychosocial assessment, obtaining a thorough history looking at the interconnection between your physical, psychological, and socio-environmental factors.

There is no urgency or predetermined therapeutic agenda in this first meeting. This time is an opportunity to learn more information about your story and highlight your unique strengths.

At the end of session, we will begin to determine treatment plan options for fostering your growth and healing.

Therapy Sessions

The remaining sessions last about 50-60 minutes. I will hold space for you during these sessions while building trust, safety, and assist you with navigating your concerns and mental health needs, under the guide of our collaborative treatment plan and evidence based therapeutic interventions.
